Painting I: Form, Color, and Contemporary Narrative
This studio module establishes a comprehensive foundation in the mechanics of archival oil painting, focusing on tonal values, structural form, and precise palette management. Under my instruction, students progress from highly disciplined value scales and monochromatic spatial rendering to complex, full-palette structural figure paintings. The curriculum is deliberately structured to bridge classical academic rigor with individual creative agency, challenging students to leverage technical mastery as a tool for contemporary allegorical inquiry, personal identity exploration, and conceptual depth.
