Spatial Mechanics & Linear Perspective
These projects introduce the geometry and structure used to organize representational space. Assignments move from plotted boxes and observed interiors to invented vehicles and environments, developing students’ understanding of horizon lines, vanishing points, foreshortening, and atmospheric depth. The curriculum connects technical construction with composition, scale, and narrative, giving students practical methods for designing convincing spaces in their own artwork.
