Spatial Mechanics & Linear Perspective Studio
This instructional block focuses on the spatial geometry and structural architecture that governs representational art. Through systematic, project-based assignments-ranging from exact multi-point structural interiors to complex invented environments-students develop absolute control over horizon lines, vanishing points, foreshortening, and deep atmospheric depth. Rather than treating perspective as a rigid commercial formula, this curriculum frames spatial mechanics as a vital conceptual framework, giving fine arts students the spatial literacy required to confidently manipulate space, narrative scale, and world-building within their broader contemporary art practices.
